The Academy’s education committee is now accepting applications for scholarships
to attend the Updates in Correctional
Health Care conference in San Antonio, May 17-20.
Scholarship Award
Each scholarship has a value of $640.
Scholarship recipients will receive the following:
- $400 travel stipend, paid to the recipient upon check-in at the
conference.
- $240 registration fee, paid directly to the National Commission on
Correctional Health Care
Scholarship Criteria
Duration of Membership:
Applicant has been an Academy member
for at least two years.
First-time Attendee: Applicant has not previously attended a national conference sponsored by the Academy of
Correctional Health Professionals.
Professional Enhancement:
Applicant will benefit significantly from attendance at the conference.
Application Deadline
The application deadline is March 28.

Scholarship Program Brings Members to Nashville
Through the generous donations of members of the
Academy, a scholarship program was established in 2005 to assist members
who have previously been unable to attend on of our of our conferences.
Last year's recipients were:
• Darlene Huff, CCHP, a medical technician at the Abraxas Youth
Center, South Mountain, PA
• Amy Randt, LPN, CCHP, a nursing supervisor at the Abraxas Youth
Center, South Mountain, PA
