The Academy of Correctional Health Professionals Board of Directors
plays a vital role in establishing the vision and strategic direction
for the Academy, and it assures adherence to the Academy’s mission,
bylaws, policies, procedures, and values.
The Board is comprised of 13 persons who are members of the Academy
– seven of these Directors are selected by the membership through an
election process; three are appointed for their standing in the
community or profession; two are from the NCCHC Board of Directors; and
the NCCHC President serves ex officio.

2008 Election Results
This year’s election was an exciting race, with
eight highly qualified candidates vying for five open seats. The results
were announced to an enthusiastic crowd and a round of high 5s from all
the new and continuing board members.
The Academy is pleased to welcome the following
newly elected members to its board.
